Opportunity for students and new artists / animators / developers to practice their skills and earn their first fees.

We are multi-award winning, Perth based, indepedent film producers. Our first feature film, I am Bish (www.iambish.com), shot entierly in W.A. on a budget of ten thousand dollars was screened at eight international film festivals and won seven awards. It is now being released on DVD in Australia and the US with an ITunes release to follow.
 
We are currently working on the pilot for an animated series called Pissweak Superhereos (www.pissweaksuperheroes.com) - a comedy in the style of South Park and Family Guy and we are looking for a small team of student artists, animators and game developers to help us create a truly interactive experience.
 
We are only a small operation and so we will only be able to pay a small up-front fee for service but all contributors will also receive a small share of profits should the series prove successful.

If you're a student or recent graduate or even someone who is exploring their artistic side as a hobby and you'd like to get some experience working on an animated project, we'd love to hear from you.

The style of art and animation that we're using is deliberately ... well pissweak is the word. Having said that, our initial designs look strangely half decent and the "Southpark" style of animation really suits the project and can be very funny. If you're good and we end up using your work in the finished film or web series we will pay you a (very very very very small) fee for the work you submit and cut you in for a share of any future profits based on how much of your work we actually use in the finished film. Please note we have to put a massive disclaimer on this page and please do read the small print below.

How it will work: We are happy to work with anyone anywhere in the world. We are working almost entirely in Adobe Creative suite with a huge amount of our animation done in Flash. You'll need to submit just some very brief character designs of your own Pissweak Superhero (for artists) or a very brief flash animation (for animator) feel free to use the sample character designs included on this page. If we like your work we'll get in touch and arrange to send you out a contract for you to review and then we'll set you up with a special username and password to this site which is where we'll exchange files, scripts and notes as well as on Skype or by Messenger.

Depending on how good you are and how quickly you can turnaround the work we'll increase your up-front fee accordingly but we're operating on a very low budget so it will still not be much unless we can get some investors on board. And to that end, the more we are able to produce the more likely that will become and we already have some potential investors keen to look at some shorts / trailer type material.

We will be setting aside a portion of the producer's net profits (and there may never be any we should make that clear) and that will be a pool from which artists and animators will share in proportion to the amount of their work that is included in the completed film. The proportional distribution will be soley at the discretion of the producers and we reserve the right to distribute a greater proportion to artists or animators whose work is particularly complex, detailed or otherwise time consuming but rest assured we will be fair and in the event that we do make a decent profit (and the odds are ridiculously low that we will) we will pass on a bonus share to everyone who helped us get there.
