Dave Bishop

Project Greenlight AustraliaDave Bishop came equal 2nd in Project Greenlight Australia with his first feature film script, CASE

Dave trained at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (where Hugh Jackman and Frances O'Connor went) as an actor and appeared in All Saints and Home & Away for about five seconds before he started writing and directing.  His first short film, The Man Who Had No Name was one of the first from WA to reach the finals of Tropfest and since then he has written three multi-award nominated (and winning) feature screenplays.

Vampires from Wagga was nominated for the Monte Miller Award for Best Un-Produced Screenplay by the Australian Writer's Guild. Whilst Dave's first U.S. screenplay (a romantic comedy about the second coming entitled Jesus is Back) has been shortlisted for the screenplay awards of seven international film festivals.

In 2009, Bishop won ten thousand dollars in a short film competition and used it to shoot a zombie romantic comedy entitled I am Bish which has since gone on to become an Official Selection of eight international film festivals and win seven awards.
